Holidays with kids in Malaga

The best tours with kids in Malaga and surrounding

Family holidays are always a treat, but traveling with two or even three generations can be challenging. The elderly may have walking limitations, and the little ones are easily bored. Fortunately, in Malaga, we have many interesting options for the entire family, including boat tours, bike tours, Segway tours, theme and animal parks, as well as highly recommended private tours.

One of the unique private tours we offer is a visit to a bull and Andalusian horse breeding farm in the surrounding area of Ronda. This tour provides an opportunity to experience the animals' way of life and understand the selection process, as well as the cultural significance of the brave Iberian bulls, a breed that originated in Spain. No animals will be harmed during the visit, and you will see how they are happily living on the vast property.

Another fun activity is a chocolate workshop in one of the beautiful whitewashed villages, where you can combine the beauty of the village and the surrounding landscapes with local handicrafts and specialties of the area. You can learn about the creation of chocolate bonbons, bars, seasonal specialties, and much more. We can provide you with all the relevant information, and you can choose the most suitable workshop in terms of timing and content for your family. Who doesn't love chocolate?

Additionally, we offer tours to learn about ancient methods of obtaining olive oil and visiting a miniature museum in our village. Please also inquire about tours to Gibraltar and Tangier, which are great options for families!

Just let us know your family's main interests, and we will work with you to elaborate the best options that suit your needs.

Olive Oil Tours in Malaga

Organic Olive Oil in Andalusia

One of the most sought-after experiences in Andalusia is olive oil. With over 20 years of guiding experience, I have visited countless oil mills, from the ancient stone mills of the past to the most modern facilities of today, offering perfect traceability from harvest to your spoon.

Did you know that Spain is the world's leading producer of olives and olive oil? Andalusia alone accounts for around 70% of Spain's total production, with the province of Jaen contributing 80% of Andalusia's production from over 5,000 oil mills. The scale of production is truly impressive.

As we travel around Andalusia, guests are often amazed by the "pointillism" of the perfectly aligned olive trees that seem to stretch on forever. Even those familiar with the industry, like a recent guest from California whose company controls the largest production in the state, are surprised by the sheer size of the plantations and the fact that they are mainly dry-land culture.

With over 300 varieties of olives across Spain, our region boasts around 30 varieties, some of which are limited to specific areas. For example, the Nevadillo variety is only found in the surrounding areas of Frigiliana.

Did you know that the color of olive oil is not an indication of its quality? The color varies depending on the variety of olives used, ranging from light yellow to dark green. The flavors, however, are what sets them apart.

We offer both half-day and full-day tours to organic oil mills, where the trees are grown organically and the oils are certified. These companies exclusively use their own harvest for production and commercialization. My personal favorites are located in the surroundings of Ronda and the Mountains of Malaga.

I'll be happy to customize a tour that caters to your interests and schedule.
